About Us

"Center of Personal Development and the Utilization of Traditional Amazonian Medicine"

HAMPICHICUY, which in Quechua means "The Place that Heals", is located in the North-eastern Jungle of Peru, San Martín Department, in the Regional Conservation Area "Cerro Escalera", where you can enjoy a pleasant environment of tranquility, retreat, harmony with nature and responsible management of natural resources. For reasons of our work and environmental protection; we use electricity responsibly, water at natural temperature for comfort; we have cell phone connection, treated water for drinking; but we do not provide wi-fi or air conditioning services, only fans at night, which are cooler anyway, thanks to the microclimate of this area. All of which in our concept, allows a genuine Internal Exploration and alternative Treatment of the "ailments" of the modern world; under a strictly Therapeutic context.

The Center is located approx. 10 min. from the center of Tarapoto and one hour from Lima by air with a temperature ranging between 25º and 32º C. It formally began its activities in 2001, acquiring the transgenerational knowledge of Amazonian Indigenous Master Healers during long periods of deep learning and gathering the experiences of professional psychologists, psychiatrists, sociologists and anthropologists.

The HAMPICHICUY Center puts into practice the Traditional Indigenous Amazonian Knowledge, strictly curative of Medicinal Plants such as Ayahuasca and other Amazonian Master Plants, complemented with modern specialties such as Psychotherapy. Under strict prior evaluation of participants, both their medical and emotional condition.
